re: Philip Glass & co. in Rome

Last night I had the privilege of seeing and listening to one of the greatest musicians I know with the people who play his music divinely.

To point out that Japanese Maki Namekawa, in addition to the perfect technique, is able to represent Phili Glass’s music to tears with a depth I rarely seen in my life.

I discovered Philip Glass late, but life gave me the opportunity to have heard him twice in the last 4 months! Thank you!

Grazie vita!

re: message on the table

My son, early this morning left for the sea and left a writing message on the table 🙃

Tomorrow I’m expecting a snow thunderstorm 🙂

re: I’m not died yet – Phil Collins at Hyde park – June 30th

I was waiting since almost an year to get in front of the stage and have Phil Collins playing there. The first time I saw him was with Genesis at their early stages and I was almost a child, 13th years old at Eastbourne in Sussex, they played with the band FRUUP as supporters.

I did not realise then that they were following my life with their music until today. That time I cath the autograph from them all, FRUUP included, and suddenly when I went in their dressing room I got shocked when I saw Peter Gabriel’s with the fox head!

When I heard his first song “Another day in paradise” all my enthusiasm and willingness to have a beautiful evening, was gone and I got even a bit upset.

Phil’s says when he stept in that he came back ‘couse he was missing us, but unfortunately we were also missing him… a long time ago.

I think there is not any excuse or whatever to decide to come back on stage and have such a low performance, when you are done you ARE done, nothing will bring up again your voice or your balls 😦

Nevertheless, the band was absolutely fantastic and the coreography excellent, and last but not list, his son Nicholas (16th years old) playing drums, is at his Father level… really great!

re: The Eagle Will Raise Again

I went recently in Germany to listen this great Teacher of sound, Alan Parsons.

I’m listening this song since I was 19th and still, there is a part of me in there that makes me cry sometimes, and laugh some others.

And I could easily fall from grace
Then another would take my place
For the chance to behold your face

As the days of my life are but grains of sand
As they fall from your open hand
At the call of the wind’s command

Many words are spoken when there’s nothing to say
The fall upon the ears of those who don’t know the way
To read between the lines, that lead between the lines, that lead me to you

All that I ask you
Is, show me how to follow you and I’ll obey
Teach me how to reach you I can’t find my own way
Let me see the light, let me be the light

As the sun turns slowly around the sky
Till the shadow of night is high
The eagle will learn to fly

As the days of his life are but grains of sand
As they fall from your open hand
And vanish upon the land

Many words are spoken when there’s nothing to say
The fall upon the ears of those who don’t know the way
To read between the lines, that lead between the lines, that lead me to you
Show me how to follow you and I’ll obey
Teach me how to reach you I can’t find my own way
Let me see the light, let me be the light
And so, with no warning, no last goodbye
In the dawn of the morning sky
The eagle will rise again

re: Global Citizen

Hugh Jones in an interview on the G7 held in Taormina, was ending his interview with the following words:

”We must face famine urgently. Be not a leader only for the present but also for the future, governes with generosity.

Do not be transitional characters, give an example and leave an inheritance to be proud of. ”

It should be an integral part of the solemn oath of every human being called to drive, a country, a company, a family!

re: Betty’s roses

Betty’s was  graduate in agriculture, loved flowers and nature. In 2001 she planted a small rose plant, which today is a large bush.

Many people who live in the farmhouse “Torriggio” came to collect one, she was happy, and today has become almost a ritual.

This year my son will also pick up from his mother plant, one, to give it up 🙂
